One of the ways that we can cope with immediate regret after our decision is the following:

Self-reflection and acceptance.

Allow yourself to let things happen in your life no matter what. After having experienced bad decisions because of unexpected and unfavorable circumstances. Allow yourself  accept that there are times we made mistakes. It is normal for human beings to commit such mistakes. Then, reflect on this as you move forward in your life and take it as a lesson.

Self-compassion and self-forgiveness.

You must forgive yourself. No one else will do this for you. Do not think for yourself as a perfect individual who does not commit  mistakes. Its normal.

Reframe negative thoughts and emotions into positive ones.

Try this exercise to reframe your negative thought to a positive one. If you are feeling like, I am such failure for making this mistake."  Try repeating this instead: "Making mistakes is a normal part of the learning process. I can use.

Moving Forward from Bad Decisions

It is important to move away from bad decision making and its results. First, this will erase all our guilt within and improve our self-worth and self-esteem. People who donot move forward from this experience more self-pity and depression. It is important to move away from this bad habit.

Make a plan for yourself  move forward. Commit to it and execute it. Many people have plans but they are not being executed, ending in failure and loss of motivation to start again.

Support groups are helpful for us to move forward. They inspire us and motivate us to keep moving.

In looking for support groups, you need people with like-minded spirits. People who will never disappoint you and always there in times of trouble.

The family is the primary support group you can always lean on. Close friends or relatives too. Avoid toxic people who are trying to belittle you.

So how can you prevent yourself from committing the same mistake again in decision making? Here are my short tips for you.
